a not so bitter dose
The Bitter Dose Combo were penetrating an enclosed porch as I walked through Georgetown today. It sounds silly, but I really thought to myself, "Too bad you can't photograph music." Upon further inspection, however, it was four actual live musicians playing sweet, Saturday afternoon tunes. And so I ducked into Dean & Deluca's patio, and purchased a three dollar water for good measure. I sat at a table near the band, surreptitiously clicking my shutter button, trying not to be a distraction. But when I approached them between songs, the band couldn't have been nicer about my taking their picture as they played. So I got a little closer! And clicked a little more. I wish D&D had more room to move, or that I'd had a wider lens stashed in my bag, but it was such a nice surprise to stumble onto this cool band. (I mean - good-looking and talented musician dudes - what could be better?)
