I am so lucky to keep finding the greatest clients.  Heather is an attorney in Maryland who recently started her own firm.  She specializes in helping out start-ups and small businesses so she needed a professional but relaxed and approachable photo for her website and her online presence.  I was so happy that we were able to come up with multiple shots that pleased both Heather and me.  I've found I really enjoy working with a client to get the right shots and Heather was such a joy to meet and work with.  Here are the final images that Heather chose!

DC has had a couple of fun little snow storms this winter.  And a few days after one such occasion I got to hang out with Becca and Bryan in their awesome Logan Circle neighborhood. One of my favorite things about living in Washington is getting to know  personalities of each neighborhood and the way each little neighborhood microcosm really contributes to the whole of the city.  I am such a devotee of my neighborhood (what what Mt. Pleasant!) and am inspired when I get to know other people who love the place they live.  So I was thrilled when the couple said they just wanted to be in Logan Circle and do a little wandering.  I am looking so forward to the National Mall wedding these two have planned this Spring!

Nicole

Truth be told, Nicole is exactly the kind of woman who intimidates me the most. Full of class. Full o' brains. And she's a producer over at NPR.  Of course she is.  Also, just the loveliest.

Allison and Kevin met and fell in love while on a national theatre tour.  So naturally, they're right at home in front of the camera!  I had a great time kicking off October on an unseasonably warm evening. And Eastern Market was a perfect location.

Also, get a load of that gorgeous ginger hair!

Wedding - Sara and Ari - Waynesboro, PA - Washington, DC Wedding Photographer

I was first connected with Sara and Ari last fall when we shot their engagement session in DC's awesome National Park -- Rock Creek Park.   And in May I photographed their wedding.  I can't reiterate enough how inspiring these two were in the day they planned for themselves, their families and friends.  The way Sara and Ari incorporated traditions, faith and culture into the day's events while still keeping the proceedings accessible and utterly modern was so lovely. 

Not that I had much time to sit back and take it in!  The day was non-stop go go go from the very first second.  So many ceremonies.  And so much dancing!  And dance-running!  These two kept me on my feet!  The end of each portion of the day seemed to end in everyone dancing very quickly to do something else awesome!  And as this was my first Jewish wedding I was just keeping my eyes open and my shutter finger at the ready.

There was so much love and joy in this one!
