Molly took a bus from New York and spent a long weekend in DC. She is so positive about the city that I found myself a bit reinvigorated experiencing it with her. Her parents went to Georgetown and met and fell in love here, so she has romantic notions to go along with this place. So many of my friends are disillusioned after a few years here that it was lovely to spend some time with some one who sees it with new eyes.

Also, people are always asking us if we are sisters. Which is really funny and very flattering. Molly is lovely.

my state

When I look at a map of the US my eye goes directly to Oklahoma. I've always wondered if everyone automatically zeroes in on the state/country/province they call home. However, I do think Oklahoma is a lovely shape that deserves to be more appreciated and recognized. It is unique and recognizable yet simple.

I am seriously considering having a simple Oklahoma outline tatooed on me somewhere. Even considering it is a big step for me. I had always thought I would never, ever get one.
